Teacher Appreciation Week Freebies 2023
Attention Teachers! Here are some great freebies and deals you can score in honor of Teacher Appreciation Week in 2023. Teacher Appreciation Week always falls on the first full week in May – which makes it May 7 – May 13 for 2023. However the official “Teacher Appreciation Day” is May 2 at many locations.
These teacher appreciation freebies are just a way to say “thanks!” for all the hard work you put in every single day. Honestly, teacher appreciation day should be EVERY day! 🙂
Note that most of these deals and discounts you'll need your teacher ID. Also be sure to check the dates as some freebies, discounts, and special pricing are only available for a limited time.

TGI Fridays
On May 2, teachers can head into a nearby TGI Fridays between 5pm and close to enjoy a free meal on the house – including a steak dinner! Showing your valid school i.d. will get you any of the following meals:
- Cheeseburger with Seasoned Fries
- Crispy Chicken Fingers with Seasoned Fries and Coleslaw
- 6 oz. Center-Cut Sirloin with Mashed Potatoes and Garlic-Butter Broccoli

Enroll in Classroom Rewards to get a FREE $5 Staples Giftcard – and make it easy for parents, friends and family to donate to your classroom wishlist! We're crossing our fingers that Staples will ALSO give out free teacher giftboxes again this year like in 2022 (See box above) It included free Sharpie highlighters, glue sticks, stickers, thank you cards and more!

Teacher Appreciation Week Freebies from 2022
Barnes & Noble
On Tuesday May 3, participating Barnes & Noble Cafés across the country will give teachers a FREE tall cup of hot or iced coffee or tea when they show their valid teacher’s ID. Call your local store to verify participation.
Potbelly Sandwich Shop
Potbelly is offering teachers a FREE cookie or regular-sized soft drink when they order any entrée (valid all week through Sunday, May 8). To get the freebie, just show your work ID or badge to the cashier.
SeaWorld Orlando, San Diego, or San Antonio
Enjoy FREE Admission for Teachers! (Other amusem*nt parks may be participating as well, so be sure to call your local park).
Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers
Freddy's is giving teachers a FREE one-topping mini sundae, valid through May 6 at participating locations. To redeem, teachers must present a valid ID for dine-in or drive-thru orders. Limit one sundae per person with ID.
Sonic Drive-In
Enjoy a free cheeseburger with purchase to all enrolled in the Sonic Teachers’ Circle, available through the Sonic app. Teachers need to be fully verified in Teachers’ Circle by May 2 and then can redeem a reward for a free cheeseburger May 3 through May 17. Find even more details here.
Insomnia Cookies
Teachers can enjoy a FREE 6-pack of cookies at participating Insomnia Cookies locations with a $5 in-store purchase, valid through 3AM on Saturday, May 7. Teachers need to show a valid work ID or credentials and mention the deal. Limit of one per customer and availability varies by location.

Teacher Appreciation Week Discounts
Academy Sports + Outdoors – Through 5/8, Academy will give a 10% discount to teachers and campus employees, valid on your entire purchase online or in-store.
ASICS – Enjoy a 20% discount off all full-priced products in their online store.
AT&T – Get 25% discount on eligible unlimited wireless plans through SheerID.
Barnes & Noble – 20% off select books, toys, and more when you sign up for the free Barnes & Noble Educator Program.
Buffalo Wild Wings – 20% discount for dine-in orders as well as “in-store pay” pickup orders through May 6. To get this deal, teachers and staff will need to show a valid school ID.
Crocs – Get 25% off all full-priced styles for teachers through SheerID.
Dollar General – Teachers can get 5% off each month. **To get this discount once a month, teachers need to sign in or create a Dollar General account and verify their teacher credentials. Then they'll need to add the “exclusive teacher-only DG digital coupon” through the app. The coupon will appear 24-48 hours after verification and to redeem teachers can enter their phone number at checkout.
Great American Cookies – Teachers and nurses can enjoy a FREE Original Chocolate Chip Cookie through May 6 with any purchase and a valid ID.
Half Price Books – 10% off for teachers year-round.
J. Crew– 15% off in-store purchases for teachers and college students with valid school ID.
JoAnn Fabrics – 15% off for teachers when you sign up for discount card.
L.L. Bean – Teachers and Students get 15% OFF their purchases at L.L.Bean.

Marble Slab Creamery – Marble Slab Creamery is treating teachers and nurses with a buy one, get one free small ice cream through Friday for its Heroes Week initiative. A valid ID is needed.
Michaels – Teachers get 15% off entire in-store or online purchases for teachers EVERYDAY – just validate your school ID in the Michaels app. (If you have an area that used to have an AC Moore and was transitioned to a Michael's this will work there!)
O'Charley's Restaurant – Through May 6, O'Charley's Restaurant + Bar is giving teachers a FREE dessert with the purchase of an entrée and a valid ID or badge. Valid for dine-in only.
Office Depot/OfficeMax – Through 6/25, teachers get 20% off their qualifying regular-priced purchases and 20% back in Bonus Rewards on a qualifying purchase, up to $50 in rewards. Must present a valid teacher ID, a coupon and rewards member number.
Staples – Through May 6, teachers will receive 20% back in rewards and get up to 5% in rewards for themselves.
