The month of February is chock full of holidays and events. Some of these are well-known while others are more obscure. These bulletin board ideas will get your students involved during the month of February.

The goal of this board is to celebrate those born in the month of February. Highlight the birthdays of those in the class and some well-known folks as well.

Materials

  • Birthday-themed wrapping paper
  • Red die cut border
  • Red die cut letters spelling out: February Birthdays
  • Light blue die cut balloons
  • Marker
  • Inflated balloons

Instructions

  • Cover the board with the wrapping paper.
  • Post the red die cut border around the edges of the board.
  • Create a header for the board with the red die cut letters.
  • Use the marker and blue die cut balloons to list the names and birthdates of students and faculty with February birthdays. Consider including some famous people as well (e.g. Harry Styles, Shakira, Rosa Parks, Babe Ruth, and so on).
  • Post the balloons all over the board.
  • Fill in blank spaces with the inflated balloons.

  • Have the students use the marker and red die cut hearts to write messages of friendship to their fellow students.
  • Post the hearts all over the board.

Instructions

  • Cover the board with the light blue butcher paper.
  • Post the brown die cut border around the edges of the board.
  • Create a header for the board with the brown die cut letters.
  • Use the marker and brown die cut groundhogs to write key facts about Punxsutawney Phil and the history of Groundhog Day.
  • Post the facts all over the board.

Every four years, the month of February has an extra day. This board is all about Leap Day!

Materials

  • Light green butcher paper
  • Dark green die cut border
  • Dark green die cut letters spelling out: Leap Day
  • Yellow die cut numbers 2 and 9
  • Marker

Instructions

  • Cover the board with the light green butcher paper.
  • Post the dark green die cut border around the edges of the board.
  • Create a header for the board with the dark green die cut letters.
  • Use the marker and yellow die cut numbers to write key facts about leap day. You may want to include important historical events that have happened on leap day, years with leap day, leap day birthdays, and so on.
