The Black Crowes may just be one of the greatest classic rock style bands forming in the 1990s that brought a southern Rolling Stones type of sound into rock music at a time when hair metal was dominating, and grunge was soon to follow. Over their career, they have released eight studio albums and undergone numerous lineup changes over their career. The Black Crowes have experienced several hiatuses, the longest from 2015 to 2019, before reuniting for tour dates. Their music has achieved significant commercial success and critical acclaim, with multiple albums certified gold and platinum.

Chris Robinson

Chris Robinson is the lead vocalist and one of the founding members of The Black Crowes. Joining the band at its inception in 1984, Chris has been a constant presence in the group. He played a crucial role on all the band’s albums, from the debut Shake Your Money Maker to the latest Before the Frost…Until the Freeze. His distinctive voice and charismatic stage presence have been pivotal to the band’s identity. Outside The Black Crowes, Chris Robinson has pursued a solo career and formed Chris Robinson Brotherhood, further exploring his musical interests in rock and psychedelic.

Rich Robinson

Rich Robinson, brother to Chris Robinson, is the guitarist and another founding member of the band. Steve Gorman

Steve Gorman was the drummer for The Black Crowes, joining shortly after its formation and playing on every album until his departure in 2001. Sven Pipien

Sven Pipien joined The Black Crowes as the bassist in 1997, taking over from Johnny Colt.
