  1. Internet AcademyOnline School•Federal Way Public Schools, WA•PK, K-12•Rating 4.7 out of 5 20 reviewsSenior: With Internet Academy, I had a consistently positive experience with no negative experiences. However, I believe there is room for improvement in terms of course offerings. Increasing the number of classes available would improve learning opportunities and target to a larger range of interests and skill sets. This would benefit not only current students like me, but would also attract a more diverse audience. A larger course selection could allow students to explore new subjects, gain new skills, and further personalize their educational journey. It would be a significant step toward making Internet Academy an even greater and valuable educational institution.... 2. Washington Virtual Academy High School - OmakOnline School•Omak School District, WA•9-12•Rating 4.33 out of 5 79 reviewsJunior: The online school is quite similar to a traditional brick-and-mortar school, but of course, since it is in an online format there are some limitations to what students can do, especially if we're talking about physical limitations. Albeit being physically away from your classmates, the school utilizes plenty of resources to foster the community of online students including in-person field trips, online clubs, and student-led organizations! The academic side of online school isn't lacking either. The school offers plenty of courses for each subject area and there are Honors and CTE courses available as well. However, there are no AP classes and I hope there will be some available in the future. The teachers I had and have are excellent educators who made it a goal to help students in need. And because of the online format, getting in contact with a teacher is quick and easy. I think the best part about the online school is the flexibility you even as you take multiple classes.... 3. Enlightium AcademySpokane, WA•Online School•PK, K-12•Rating 4.77 out of 5 137 reviewsSenior: Enlightium Academy is a self-paced online school located in Washington state. The curriculum is rigorous and most teachers at this school are knowledgeable in their subject and are very helpful. One thing I would like to see change is that the math lessons have more examples that relate to the questions that follow. I feel that the lessons are deficient in examples. Often times, I find myself looking at other resources to understand the content of the lessons, which is sometimes frustrating. The best experience about online school is the freedom I have to work on school at any time during the day or night. This freedom gave me the ability to focus on my passion, gymnastics. I am able to spend more time training, while also keeping up with my schoolwork. The worst part of online school is staying motivated and focused to make sure the schoolwork is completed in a timely manner. My parents, coaches, and teachers are always there to keep me on track.... Knight School District, WA•K-12•Rating 4.2 out of 5 15 reviewsSophom*ore: Washington Connections Academy has helped me tremendously academically and as a person who was stressed constantly with in-person school and has bad anxiety, Connections Academy is a great choice. I have learned a lot through Connections Academy and began appreciating and enjoying school in a way I have not experienced through in-person school. The flexibility in assignments and supportiveness from teachers has personally been super helpful. One negative of Washington Connections Academy is the lack of clubs compared to in-person school. Clubs are a big part of contributing and being involved in school and not having that bond with people and joining something you enjoy is difficult. Despite clubs, Connections Acadamy is a great choice and I would 100% recommend it, especially for people who may struggle with anxiety or other issues at in-person school....
